Glorious Children Academy

Glorious Children Academy was established in September, 2013 with a clear mission “To educate the “whole child”, foster a life-long learning, encourage critical thinking and equip our pupils with intensive learning at level needed for effective and courageous continuity in their academics.

The school runs the MONTESSORI METHOD OF CHILD EDUCATION.

This method has proven to be the best up-to-date method of instruction all over the world. The school is located at No. 51 Ejio Road, Off Lagos-Abeokuta, Arigbajo, Ewekoro, Ogun State, Nigeria. The school is endowed with responsible and responsive management committed to the provision of a favourable environment for teaching/learning activities. The teachers of the school are loving, humane and professionally sound; they are also disciplined, dedicated, well supervised and highly motivated. Emphasis is on effective preparation for and delivery of lessons with feedback systems. Regularly, our teaching staffs are made to undergo in-house and out-of-station workshops and courses to improve their standard. Our school is a developing school ensuring all facilities are put in place to bring out the desired changes in every child and our past records speaks volume

INFANT SCHOOL

Our pre-school section is focused on equipping the child with all the needful skills to successfully ascend to Basic schools with a receptive mind. This is a period of great changes, physically and mentally. The pre-school has therefore been organized in such a way that the children will love to sit in class and learn. The section has four classes the Explorer, Kindergarten and Nursery. A child must be (1 ½) years old at the term of admission into the first class of Pre-School for a-3year course running through explorer down to Nursery. The only condition a child is promoted to the basic school is a complete success in the 3 years course. To achieve any tangible success, the interest of the children must be positively channeled at all times. This is why their class work will be intermingling with outdoor and indoor physical exercises, to assist their physical growth. Children will also be offered real life experiences through teaching of subjects like Nature Study, Practical Life Exercises and Sensorial Education.

DOUBLE PROMOTION (DPR)

Preparation for Secondary School Education starts in Year 4 and ended in Year 5 where we introduce more advanced work to children. This will expose them to some topics that would enhance better performance in the secondary school.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION INTO BASIC 7 ( JSS1)

Pupils in Year 5( Basic 6) are only eligible to write entrance examination into Basic 7(Jss1) as we don’t encourage or allow pupils in Year 4( Basic 5) to participate. We however, advice parents to guide and monitor their ward to pass the double promotion examination at Year 3 ( Basic 4) to Year 5( Basic 6) where the child is fully prepared for secondary education.
